I Have a Bee In My Bonnet

Even though it's been 100 degrees outside, and it feels like the middle of August, it is still spring.
I'm getting a slow start this year, but it finally hit... Spring fever. I've gotten out the gloves, and just about every cleaner known to mankind, and I've been scrubbing the house top to bottom. Now if there were only more hours in a day so I could get it all done before I lose my momentum, I never now how long it might last.
Anyone else Spring cleaning? Any tips?

  1. I feel like you do in that I get in the mood to clean and once I start I don't even want to think about taking a break. I usually put on some loud dancing music and go to town cleaning. I spend the day before I clean putting all the things in the correct rooms and away in the drawers etc. so that when I do clean it goes faster when the house is neat. When I am finished I eat out because I like to see my kitchen clean for 24 hrs.

  2. Hi Alice....I see my buddy Joyce arrived right before me...We had lunch together today and I think we laughed for a straight 3 hours...she's a hoot....and unlike me she takes cleaning seriously....I have no spring cleaning tips....except to open up the windows...put on the whole house exhaust fan and let the breeze blow away all the dust....then go out to eat...

  3. Hi Alice...I have a tip. You might already know this but it really excited me. Put alittle baking soda in the kitchen sink (on the drain) and pour lemon juice and watch it bubble away! Katie loves it because it's like a volcano in the sink! It leaves the sink shiny clean and fresh. Oh, one more take your blow dryer and dust your silk flowers. I don't have very many because I'm a real sort of girl but, I do have an arangement in my bedroom. I think I got this tip from Martha. It worked great! I would take it outside though. Unlike me! Had to do some major dusting after that one! :)Dina

  4. I absolutely can't wait to start cleaning my house. It's hard to live in it while it's being completely remodeled, but hopefully that will be over in about 2 weeks and then the cleaning can begin!

  6. my tip is for you to practice your cleaning skills over here. I guess I should just send my kids to your house...then they can mess yours up, and I will be free to clean away! :)
